Come and have a relaxing introduction to Kawandi quilting and make your own Kawandi sampler. You will learn a little about the history of Kawandi quiltmaking and then be shown the steps involved in creating your own unique piece. Have a rummage in your fabric scraps basket and bring a selection of your favourite scraps to turn into something fabulous!
Kawandi quilting is a mindful hand stitching technique that uses fabric scraps to create colourful mats and quilts. One unique aspect is that it is assembled from the outside, which is very different from traditional quilting.
